Overflow: Hidden No More

Dear Friends, Partners and Supporters,

Welcome to the Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated website.  For thirty years, the members of the Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter have contributed their time, talents and resources to reduce
economic, health and educational disparities within our communities. We actively engage in providing both guidance and hands-on service to deserving individuals and organizations.

Please take a few minutes to peruse this site to see our members in action and learn more about our mission, vision and the programs that help make us a leading organization in North Texas.

We are especially proud of our programs, which are designed to make an immediate impact and support sustained initiatives that include art education and appreciation, assistance to the elderly, and service to youth in our community and internationally.

  • Our award-winning Link-ED2 STEM Enrichment Summer Camps have involved more than 300 students who participate in immersive workshops in STEM career fields.  The
Link-ED2 STEM curriculum continues throughout the academic year with weekend STEM Summits and field trips.
  • Annually, we award four-year academic scholarships to college-bound students with an interest in pursuing STEM careers.
  • We host an annual fundraiser, A Knock-Out Affair, now in its 23rd year that provides a sustainable way to support our program service.

The Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter is one of 281 chapters of The Links, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of nearly 14,000 professional women of color located in 41 states.

The members of The Links, Incorporated are influential decision makers and individual achievers who are business and civic leaders, activists and volunteers who work towards a common vision – strengthening communities – by engaging like-minded organizations and individuals for partnership. Members contribute more than 500,000 documented hours of community service annually.

We hope that you will join with us in our continued commitment to address critical social issues and bring equity to individuals and families within our North Texas communities and beyond.

With your involvement, we will advance our communities to a better place not only for ourselves but for generations to come.

In Friendship and Service,

Veronica Spencer-Austin
